Shadow Dungeon Classes & Builds
Four 1.0 classes, twelve trees, Paragon after 100, Greater Rifts after the story.
Shadow Dungeon ships four classes, twelve talent trees (three per class), and more than 370 skills. Official identities are short: elemental magic (Sorcerer), dual blades (Holy Warrior), precision (Archer), demons and skeletons (Necromancer). You cannot change class after creation. The game is single-player with no MTX and no premium XP.
Version 1.0 (August 26, 2026) set the campaign at about 30–50 hours, finishing near level 99–100. Cap is 100, then the Paragon Talent Tree. After the story, Greater Rifts open on Normal, Master, Nightmare, and Inferno. Live patch 1.0.1 (August 27) fixed transformation skill point allocation and pinnacle talents not clearing after a respec — so respec exists; use it when a tree is wrong.
Unlimited skill points over a long character life is part of the 1.0 pitch. Fill your three class trees; do not invent stealing another class’s product-named spells.
Class overview
Sorcerer
Elemental magic. Ranged caster who wins on spacing and pack deletion. Details: Sorcerer Build Guide. Pair with Combat for mouse movement and controller auto-target.
Holy Warrior
Dual blades. Melee fighter in the pack. Details: Holy Warrior Build Guide.
Archer
Precision. Ranged physical, target picking, mobility. Details: Archer Build Guide.
Necromancer
Demons and skeletons. Army management from behind the line. Details: Necromancer Build Guide.
How you split points across your three trees is the whole theorycraft. Talent Trees describes that structure without fake tree product names (no Inferno/Frost/Storm labels presented as official).
Paragon after 100
When you hit the cap, Paragon is the official extra attribute tree. It is not a fifth class. It is not a paid season pass. Climb it while you run Greater Rifts and socket runes.
Gear that actually exists
Fifteen armor sets per class, many of which alter skill forms. Huge random pool plus 1.0 weapon skills (about 2,400 granted skills in the notes). Treasure Sprites keep the floor clean so you can test swaps faster. Drops follow the map (Leveling).
Launch-week tier list rankings are opinions on 1.0.1 and will move. Play the class you will finish.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about Shadow Dungeon.
What is the best class in Shadow Dungeon for beginners?
There is no official beginner class. Holy Warrior (dual blades) is melee-simple; Sorcerer and Archer are ranged; Necromancer asks you to manage summons. You cannot class-change, so use the demo if you need a test. The 1.0.1 tier list is still settling.
Can I respec my character in Shadow Dungeon?
Yes. 1.0.1 fixed pinnacle talents not clearing correctly after a respec, which confirms respec is in the game. You still cannot change class. After 100, Paragon is an additional tree, not a class swap.
Are hybrid builds viable in Shadow Dungeon?
Investing across your three class trees is the intended 1.0 design, especially with unlimited skill points. This wiki does not claim you can take another class's trees. Greater Rifts and Paragon are where long hybrids get tested.
How important is equipment compared to talent builds?
Both. Map-tied drops and fifteen sets per class plus weapon-granted skills can change skill forms. Runes after Greater Rifts add another layer. Talents define the playstyle; gear multiplies it.
How many talent trees does each class have?
Three per class, twelve total, 370-plus skills. After level 100 you also get the Paragon Talent Tree.
