Shadow Dungeon Gems, Shrines, and Consumables

Seventeen Blessing Shrines, gems, potions, and rare elixirs — as Steam lists them.

Last updated:

Gems, Shrines, and Consumables

The Steam store lists 17 Blessing Shrines, gems, buff potions, and rare permanent elixirs among Shadow Dungeon’s complete content. Version 1.0 (August 26, 2026) also added one-button use of all buff potions on controller (and the matching hotkey layer). Rift-exclusive Socketing Stones sit on the Greater Rift chase list next to Super Enhancement Stones, Essence Stones, Permanent Magic Stones, Golden Hammer, and Divine Mirror. This page stays inside those sentences. It will not invent Might Shrine, Insight Shrine, Ruby +10 Strength, or a 20% healing potion cooldown table.

Live client as of August 27, 2026 is 1.0.1. That patch repaired health UI values, monster element labels, fairy auto salvage, and backpack sort. It did not publish shrine names or gem recipes.

Blessing Shrines (17)

Shrines are world objects. The store count is seventeen distinct shrine types. Official copy does not name them, does not list durations, and does not say they stack with a published formula. Activate what you find on the current map. Drops and monster levels follow the map, so a shrine on an early dungeon does not carry into a later hell stage as a permanent account buff unless the client says so.

Use shrines when the fight in front of you is hard: chapter bosses, dense packs, or the first time a map-tied elite pattern shows up. Do not wait for a wiki to label an “offensive” versus “utility” shrine — read the prompt in-game. If a shrine is on cooldown after a death, that is a client rule, not a table this page will fake.

Steam tags include Save Anytime. You can pause. Shrines are not a hardcore-only gamble unless the UI says they are.

Gems and sockets

The store lists gems as a feature. The 1.0 rift list separately names Socketing Stones. Community and demo write-ups describe empty sockets on some equipment; that matches the store word “gems” without proving a fan color chart. Socket what the item accepts. This wiki will not rank Ruby versus Sapphire.

Socketing Stones are rift-exclusive in the 1.0 announcement. Campaign maps still drop the 100-million-item pool from 3,200 templates. Do not expect Inferno socket rules on chapter-one whites. After the story, climb Greater Rifts (Normal through Inferno) if you are chasing those stones. Pair with Runes and Enhancement.

Steam threads ask what Arcane Stones do. Official names are Socketing Stones, Super Enhancement Stones, Essence Stones, and Permanent Magic Stones. If the client shows “Arcane Stone,” treat it as in-game labeling of that enhancement family — not a sixth unpublished currency this page will stat.

Buff potions and rare permanent elixirs

Buff potions are store-listed. 1.0 input notes let you use all buff potions with a single button press. That is a combat QoL line, not a DPS formula. Save the all-potion press for bosses and Inferno packs rather than every white trash pull if gold is tight — gold also comes from Treasure Sprite salvage.

Rare permanent elixirs are listed next to potions. They are rare. The store does not publish +50 HP or +3% crit. Use them when you find them if the tooltip says permanent; there is no MTX shop that sells a second copy.

Healing and mana flasks exist as normal ARPG consumables in the client. This page will not invent Minor/Major percentages. Bind them in Controls. Health numbers failed to display for some players until 1.0.1 — update if the bar is blank.

How this sits next to gear

Gems and shrines do not replace weapon affixes or armor sets (15 per class, many altering skill forms). They sit beside reforging and enchanting. Unlimited warehouse pages mean you can park extra gems; extra bag pages still come from quests (Inventory).

Classes still play official identities: Sorcerer (elemental magic), Holy Warrior (dual blades), Archer (precision), Necromancer (demons and skeletons). A gem does not grant another class’s talent trees. After level 100, Paragon adds attributes; it is not a shrine.

Mystic Dungeon Challenges are a store-named mode. Do not assume unique shrine rules there unless the client shows them.
