Shadow Dungeon Archer
Strike with deadly precision. Three class trees, then Paragon after 100.
The Archer is Shadow Dungeon’s ranged physical class. Official Steam copy: strike with deadly precision. OO Cat’s showcase video titles the same kit Ranger in some locales; this wiki uses the English store name Archer. Version 1.0 (August 26, 2026) ships four classes, twelve talent trees, and more than 370 skills. Each class has exactly three trees. This page will not invent tree brand names (no Sniper, Longshot, Ambush, Barrage) or skill product names (no Headshot, Piercing Arrow, Caltrops, Volley). Watch the official Ranger gameplay and skill tree showcase and read the client.
You cannot change class after creation. The game is single-player. There is no friendly fire from a party, because there is no party. Live patch 1.0.1 (August 27, 2026) fixed transformation skill points and pinnacle talents that failed to clear after a respec.
How the class is meant to play
Precision means picking targets, controlling space, and staying at range. You are not the dual-blade pile fighter and you are not the elemental pack deleter by default. Version 1.0 added mouse movement, controller automatic target acquisition and automatic attacks, and per-skill intelligent targeting. Those tools help a precision class stick the elite you meant to shoot. Pair this page with Combat and Controls and Settings.
The campaign is seven chapters, 160-plus maps, about 30–50 hours, finishing near level 99–100. Drops and monster levels follow the map. See Leveling. An invented elevated-terrain accuracy bonus is not in Steam news; do not plan a build around it.
Three talent trees around precision
Your three trees split the jobs the client actually offers: picking targets, controlling space, sustaining shots. Put early points into one tree until a usable rotation exists. Open a second tree when map-tied packs or bosses demand a different tool. Unlimited skill points over a long character is the 1.0 design. Hybrids mean mixing your three trees. See Talent Trees and Hybrid Builds.
Steam Deck skill panel: A adds one point, X maxes the selected skill, Y maxes the skill and its sub-skills.
Launch-week tier list opinions may rank pack-clear behind the Sorcerer. That is not a reason to skip a tree that feels good on bosses. Meta on 1.0.1 is still settling.
Gear without a fake affix list
Each class has 15 armor sets, many of which alter skill forms. Version 1.0 added 1,000-plus weapon affixes in five official categories and about 2,400 weapon-granted skills (including trap launchers and skill conversions). Evaluate precision drops for skill grants that match how you already kite, not for invented Critical Hit Chance / Range Damage spreadsheets. See Legendary Gear and Armor Sets.
Treasure Sprites pick up and salvage. Patch 1.0.1 sped fairies up and fixed auto-salvage. Buff potions are a single button in 1.0. Gems and Shrines cover seventeen Blessing Shrines without invented names.
After the story, Greater Rifts (Normal, Master, Nightmare, Inferno) improve rare odds and affix rolls. Socket runes. At 100, start Paragon. Precision still requires an escape path on Inferno; Paragon is attributes, not a third dimension of invented mobility skills.
First hours
Hour one: create the character and learn whether you like shooting from range on opening dungeon maps. Hours two to five: fill one tree until the kit has a rhythm. If precision does not stick, roll Sorcerer, Holy Warrior, or Necromancer. You cannot class-change.
Official biomes include dungeons, temples, deserts, haunted ruins, realms beyond reality, and hell. Use the Chapter Walkthrough and Boss Strategies. Mystic Dungeon is a named store feature; this wiki will not invent five modifier tiers for it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about Shadow Dungeon.
Is Archer the same as Ranger in Shadow Dungeon?
The English store lists Archer with deadly precision. OO Cat's skill-tree video uses Ranger in the title. Same class, different locale wording. Use in-game labels.
What is the best Archer tree for general play?
There is no official general-play tree. Fill one of your three precision trees until a rotation exists, then open a second tree when maps demand it. Watch the official Ranger showcase for real names.
Can I respec an Archer?
Yes. Patch 1.0.1 fixed pinnacle talents not clearing after a respec. You cannot change class. Paragon after 100 is extra attributes.
Does the Archer have more movement skills than other classes?
Steam does not publish a movement-skill count per class. Precision implies spacing. Read the three trees in the client instead of a fan mobility ranking.
Where do I farm Archer gear?
Drops follow the map. Play current maps, then Greater Rifts after the story for better rare odds and affix rolls. No official overlevel farm name exists.
