Shadow Dungeon Legendary and Mythic Gear

Evaluate top rarity the way 1.0 describes it: templates, skill grants, and map-tied drops.

Legendary and Mythic Gear

Steam copy says Shadow Dungeon has over 100,000,000 equipment items generated semi-randomly from 3,200 base templates, and that carefully crafted legendary and mythic items make up more than half of all loot. More than half of equipment can include additional skills that synergize with talents. Version 1.0 (August 26, 2026) added 1,000-plus weapon affixes in five categories and about 2,400 weapon-granted skills. That is the official legendary story. This page will not invent +15 Spell Power tiers, Gold Find, Headshot Damage, or a Mythic-versus-Legendary stat-cap rule that OO Cat did not publish.

Patch 1.0.1 did not add a new legendary season. It fixed sprites, sort, XP, UI, controllers, and respec so you can trust what you already picked up. Reviews on Steam sit at Very Positive (about 81% of 633 user reviews at the time of this writing).

How to read a powerful drop

  1. Base template — one of 3,200. Slot and shape come from the template. The generator does the rest.
  2. Rarity language — legendary and mythic are the store words for the top band. The client may show more rarity steps; use those labels, not a fan six-color chart.
  3. Affix categories — Basic, Special, Negative Effects, Skills, Summoning Skills (Weapon Affixes). Negative Effects means some “best” weapons have downsides on purpose.
  4. Granted skills — auras, trap launchers, conversions, projectile shields, combo launchers, summon accessories and extra summon attacks. A grant that changes how you play often beats a slightly larger Basic number.
  5. Set affiliation — 15 armor sets per class, most with affixes that alter skill forms (Armor Sets).

Match the item to the official playstyle you chose: elemental magic, dual blades, precision, or demons and skeletons. You cannot class-change. A perfect Necromancer summon accessory is vendor trash on a Sorcerer save.

Map-tied loot, not overlevel farms

Monster levels and drops follow the map, not your character level. Chapter-one whites do not become mythic because you hit 80 on that map. Play the chapters in front of you. Campaign length is about 30–50 hours, finishing near 99–100, then Paragon. After the story, Greater Rifts (Normal through Inferno) raise rare odds and extra affix rolls. That is the published chase, not an invented Chapter 6–7 unique table.

Mystic Dungeon Challenges are store-listed. Community footage shows Random Challenge Scrolls. Treat mystic as a named mode, not a guaranteed legendary printer unless the client says so.

Inventory and salvage

Treasure Sprites pick up gear and salvage junk to gold. 1.0.1 fixed auto salvage and sped fairies up. Keep grants, set pieces, and rift tools. Salvage the rest. Extra pages unlock through quests; the warehouse has unlimited pages (Inventory). Steam players asked for stash search; official notes cover paging and sort, not a search box.

Reforge close bases rather than every yellow (Reforging). Socket gems when the item has sockets (Gems and Shrines). There is no MTX legendary shop and no codes.

Class notes without fake BiS lists

  • Sorcerer — grants that extend elemental pack clear. Positioning still matters (Combat).
  • Holy Warrior — dual-blade grants and conversions. Launch-week Steam “they nerfed paladin” threads are not 1.0.1 notes; 1.0.1 is bug fixes.
  • Archer — precision grants. Pack clear may feel slower than a caster in week one; that is play, not a dumpster spec.
  • Necromancer — Summoning Skills category and summon accessories/attacks.

Test on-hit retaliation on the DPS Tester. Then test on the map you are farming (Farming).

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about Shadow Dungeon.

How do I know if a legendary is an upgrade?

Compare granted skills, set progress, and the five official affix categories to your class playstyle. Do not count affixes with a fan Tier-1 list this wiki does not publish. Test on the current map and the DPS Tester.

What is the difference between Legendary and Mythic?

Steam groups legendary and mythic as the carefully crafted top half of loot. Exact stat-cap rules are in the client. A granted skill on a legendary can beat an empty mythic.

Where do the best legendaries drop?

Drops follow the map. After the story, Greater Rifts improve rare chances and extra affix rolls. This wiki does not invent exclusive Chapter 6–7 unique names.

Should I keep duplicate legendaries?

Keep duplicates with different granted skills or set progress. Unlimited warehouse pages exist so you are not forced to delete. Salvage true junk with Treasure Sprites.

Are there class-specific legendaries?

Fifteen sets per class are official. Some items will only make sense for elemental magic, dual blades, precision, or summons. Read restrictions on the tooltip.
